The flag of the Isle of Man is a triskelion, three armoured legs with golden spurs, upon a red background. It has been the official flag since 1 December 1932 and  based on the Manx coat of arms, which dates back to the 13th century. The three legs are known in Manx as ny tree cassyn ‘the three legs’,  an ancient symbol, used by the Mycenaeans and the Lycians.

Interview with Sir Barry Gibb on Manx Radio.
Finally we could all hear the interview which was recorded in March of this year but aired today via Manx Radio on the occasion of the celebration of Tynwald 2025.
(The Isle of Man’s unique parliamentary democracy have been celebrated at the formal open-air proceedings of Tynwald Court on Tynwald Hill on Monday 7th July 2025. https://www.tynwald.org.im/tynwald-day ).
What an incredible interview with Barry! They went back to all the history of the Gibb family living on the Isle of Man and the memories of Barry and his feelings about the island and his wish to come back soon to visit the Bee Gees statue on Douglas Promenade which was unveiled there in 2021.
See for more back ground info and photos etc. of course on our GSI Facebook group.
Sir Barry Gibb…… we are waiting for your visit to Douglas again!
The interview ended after Barry had mentioned he loved so much Robin singing the Ellen Vannin song, a touching end to a wonderful interview.
