Maurice Gibb Memorial Park re-opening, update
Only a couple of days to go before the grand re-opening of the Maurice Gibb Memorial park. There will be a group of GSI members present to celebrate this event on behalf of the International GSI Fan Group. I hope they will have a very special time.
Of course there will be some Gibb family members present during this ceremony and hopefully Barry and Linda will be able to visit too like earlier mentioned.
In the latest mail I received from Adam (today) he mentioned to be so happy that a group of Bee Gees fans and GSI members will be there too.
Dick Ashby already told me earlier that he’s sure that Gibb Family members attending the ceremony will be happy if GSI fan members like to take some photos with them etc.
A part of Adam’s latest mail to me/ GSI: ……..“ Wonderful news that fans will be there! I’m hopeful that Uncle Barry will attend but can’t guarantee it obviously. Don’t know yet which cousins will come but also Sam is driving down from Nashville and will be there too and my mother of course is present, she’s doing fine after some health problems. The city doesn’t know if Miami tv will be covering the re-opening. The park is looking so good………”.
Special thanks to Ana Guevara ( GSI member who organized the get-together for the GSI members) and also Samii Taylor Yakovetic ( |GSI member who once worked with the Gibbs in the studios on their albums) they both made this happen to organize something for the GSI fans early April in Miami Beach. The fan group will all get GSI name tags.
