Bee Gees Fan Weekend, October 2024 – update

A reminder and update for everyone who is interested in going to this years’ Bee Gees Fan Weekend

October 4 -5- 6 in Thame, Oxfordshire, UK

On these 3 days the Thame Museum and her patroness Mrs. Dwina Gibb are organizing some wonderful events where you can book for and in between there’s lot’s of opportunities for the fans to  organize some other special gatherings with fan groups in the weekend or even on October 7 and 8, and maybe do some sightseeing together in the area. All of you will certainly like to visit Robin’s resting place as well as Andy’s memorial stone at the cemetery of Thame.

During the fan weekend, a French Market & Street Food will also be on in the Butter Market area and outside the Town Hall in Thame, for everyone to enjoy!

On October 4th. the Friday you can visit the Wine Tasting Event. A Bee Gees themed event in the Thame Museum with  nice wines and of course lots of Bee Gees music and Gibb family member(s) present, like probably at the other 2 special events as well.

There will be again a special exhibition in the Thame Museum  which will include extra personal possessions plus a selection of Dwina’s own artwork.  Plus a “fan wall of photos” from previous visits to Thame Museum.

Amongst others there will be  extra merchandise  available for fans,  plus the museum hopes to run a Silent Auction for a Derek Witchell oil painting of the Prebendal & Robin’s resting place in the foreground.

There will be photos made during the weekend but we’re sure also the fans will make their own photo reports to share.

–  October 5th  there’s the special event by Dwina Gibb: An Evening Of Poetry & Music By Candlelight in the lovely St. Mary’s Church of Thame.

There will also be attention for Dwina’s new Vedic Tarot book and cards and the opportunity for interested fans to pre order if they haven’t already.

This evening Dwina Gibb will be joined by renowned & award-winning harpist Becki Luff. Also probably more members of her family will join.

Dwina will also be reading some of Robin’s poems, up until now, these have never been shared publicly !!

There might be a possibility to chat and take photos at the end of the evening.

October 6th

 Sunday, during the day will be relatively free for fans to have lunch or tea together before the finale of the weekend:  Saturday Night Fever, the movie on the big screen at the Thame Theatre.
